About The Firm
A criminal defence practice built around one idea — that anyone accused of a crime deserves a well-prepared, personal and honest defence, regardless of the charge.
AC Morgan Attorneys was established in 2016 with criminal litigation as its founding focus. Being accused of a crime is one of the most stressful experiences a person — and their family — can face, and the firm was built to meet that moment with calm, capability and care.
From our base in Jeffrey’s Bay, we serve the Kouga area and its surrounding towns as our home ground, while also taking on matters nationally. Every client, regardless of the charge or the circumstances, is treated with the same respect and given the same standard of representation — because an accusation is not a conviction, and everyone deserves a proper defence.
— The approach behind every matter at AC Morgan Attorneys
Every client is treated with dignity, irrespective of the charge, the circumstances, or the outcome of the case.
We stay current on the law and the evidence in your matter so that nothing in court comes as a surprise to us.
You will understand your options, the risks, and the reasoning behind every recommendation we make.
Arrests don’t wait for office hours, so neither do we — emergency assistance is available around the clock.
Chris Morgan was admitted as an attorney on 10 March 2005 and has since practised in every major province in South Africa, personally representing more than 4,000 clients. Along the way, criminal law — and the constitutional protections it depends on — became his clear focus.
Today he leads AC Morgan Attorneys as its sole practitioner, taking a hands-on role in every case the firm accepts. He is a firm believer that the period right after an arrest is the most critical in a case, and that clients deserve an attorney who is reachable, prepared and honest — not just at the first meeting, but for the entire matter.
